Individual
therapy clients

I offer short- and long-term counselling and psychotherapy for adults across a wide range of life experiences, including anxiety, loss, relationship difficulties, stress, burnout, and periods of change or uncertainty.

Therapy offers a space to begin making sense of your experiences, leading to greater understanding, new perspectives, and, where wanted, the possibility of change.

Over the years, I have worked with many amazing people. Every person is unique, and so are their stories, experiences, and needs. This requires me to listen carefully, remain curious, and work alongside you from where you are, rather than where I think you should be.

How I Work

My approach is grounded in person-centred theory, underpinned by a humanistic understanding of who we are, how we develop, and what supports us to move forwards.

At the heart of this is the belief that you are the expert on your own life. My role is not to tell you what to do or to decide what is right for you, but to work alongside you as you explore your experiences and make sense of what matters. Then we can move forwards to where you want to be.

I aim to offer a relationship characterised by empathy, authenticity, and acceptance. Whilst person-centred therapy is often described as non-directive, this does not mean passive. Therapy is an active and collaborative process where we pay attention to your experiences, relationships, patterns, and possibilities.

Together, we create a space where you can reflect, explore, and move at a pace that feels right for you.

What you might bring

People come to therapy for many different reasons. Not everyone arrives with a diagnosis, a crisis, or even a clear understanding of what feels difficult. Sometimes there is simply a sense that something needs attention.

You might feel overwhelmed, with so much going on that there is little space left to consider what you need, or under so much pressure that everything feels difficult to manage.

You may suspect you are experiencing stress or burnout, feeling physically and emotionally exhausted, whilst trying to keep going.

You may be navigating relationship difficulties, the end of a relationship, grief, loss, or significant life changes. Sometimes being able to share these experiences with someone else can help to lighten the load.

You may be carrying worries, doubts, or questions about yourself, your relationships, or the direction your life is taking.

Or you may simply have a feeling that something isn't quite as you would like it to be, without being able to put your finger on exactly why.

You do not need to arrive with a clear explanation. Therapy can be a place to explore what is happening and discover what feels important.

If you’re considering therapy, you’re welcome to get in touch.

We can arrange an initial conversation to see whether working together feels like the right fit.
