Sometimes I get an idea and wish I had somewhere to put it.

Sometimes something happens that I want to share and gently align with my work. My work with SelfCare Psychology opens up conversations about the cost of caring, and my interest in person-centred ways of being and practising sometimes needs a place to stretch out and grow. Like many things in life, the obvious answer was there all along. I already had a blog. I just hadn’t used it. So, here we are.

At the heart of all that I do is a simple belief: you matter. And while we might know this, it can be excruciatingly hard to really consider it, feel it, or believe it. I tend to think it’s often easier to begin with the idea that you matter too. That feels more achievable, comfortable, relational. Because you matter in your relationships, in your work, and, importantly, in the quieter relationship you have with yourself underneath it all. Many of us move through life caring, noticing, holding things together, and getting on with it, often without much pause to ask what that costs us or what helps us stay. Sometimes we may even feel that we shouldn’t be thinking about ourselves at all.

So I’m interested in what it means to remain human in the middle of everyday life and working life, to notice how we relate, where we stretch, where we go quiet, and what might support us to stay present without disappearing. This space won’t be about telling you what to do, or how to do life. It isn’t about providing answers or instructions, just reflections offered alongside, with curiosity, warmth, and the occasional bit of humour. Because most of this is ordinary, and none of us are meant to do it alone.

You matter too.
